The Rainbow Montessori School

Rainbow Montessori School was founded in 1983 and expanded to its current location in Woodinville, Washington in 1991. We have a student body of 70 and a staff of six. Our curriculum includes preschool and kindergarten.

In a mixed-age classroom, our certified teachers are able to meet each child’s individual needs by providing materials for a wide range of developmental levels. We value independence and try to help our students develop habits of initiative and persistence. Our goal is to provide each child with the foundation for a life of joyful learning.

The habits and skills that children develop in the Montessori classroom are good for a lifetime; helping them observe more carefully, work more efficiently, and concentrate more effectively. The little people who come to understand and engage constructively with their small-scale environment have a good chance of becoming the adults who are able to understand and interact in a wide and wondrous world.
