The Kremples Brain Injury Foundation
The Krempels Center’s community program is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each day is structured with Early Bird groups at 9:30 am, Community Meeting at 10:15 am, morning groups at 11 am, lunch at noon and afternoon groups at 1 pm.
Members choose to attend the program according to their needs, whether it is three days a week, once a week or only one group a week. Members have input into the group schedule and which groups they participate in on a daily basis. Themes include creative, emotional, functional, physical, recreational, social and vocational activities.
The program is based on a four-season cycle. Spring and fall programs involve collaboration with the University of New Hampshire and other universities. UNH’s departments of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Family Studies, Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation contribute to our success.
Summer and Winter Enrichment Programs are devoted to the arts, music, culture, travel, and sharing of life experiences by people in the local community. We host artists, musicians, performers, writers and others.
Interns and community volunteers conduct groups that encourage members to express themselves creatively. Members are able to participate in art activities and access live performances that they might not be able to participate in or afford in their communities.
