Fincher's Barbecue was opened in 1935 by Douglas "Dude" Fincher. He and his wife Annie Laurie built Finchers on 3947 Houston Ave into to best, most reconized BBQ restaurant in the middle Ga area thru the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Their two children, Doug Jr and Mollie, then took control and opened two more locations. The first on 891Gray Hwy was opened in the 60's followed by 519 North Davis Dr in Warner Robins in the 70's. Doug Jr's two sons, Doug III and Jake now run the operation, and they have opened up one more location, 5627 Houston Rd.
