Cain-Churches Active In Northside

CAIN is a 501(c)3 non profit collaborative ministry of neighborhood churches. CAIN exemplifies churches working together across denominational lines and in conjunction with other organizations, groups, schools, and businesses.

CAIN is an oasis in the Northside food desert: building community and extending compassionate care and hospitality to its most vulnerable neighbors in the City of Cincinnati neighborhoods of Northside, Mt. Airy, and South Cumminsville. CAIN assists 45223 ZIP code households who are low-income and under-resourced with food and other necessities, meals, and shelter.

CAIN currently impacts the lives of over 500 households each month through its three core programs.
CAIN’s Rainbow Choice Food Pantry offers both day and evening hours to increase access to healthy, high-quality, and safe food for food-insecure families in Northside.
Phil’s Place free community weekly dinner provides a wonderful opportunity to gather neighbors together for a meal and to strengthen community connections.
In collaboration with Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN), Grace Place provides shelter to women and children in transition from homelessness. CAIN has steadily grown from humble beginnings as a simple church food pantry to a vital community resource.
