Our company originated as Luther Stem Trucking in the 1940's by Luther N. Stem, Sr. who operated a dump truck service. It was taken over in 1951 by Luther Stem, Jr., who in 1962 built his first swimming pool in his own backyard. Soon after, people were asking him to build them a swimming pool and that is how our company came to be.
For over 50 years Luther Stem Pools & Spas has enjoyed a reputation for honest dealings and quality concrete pool construction as well as winning eight national awards for workmanship and design and many Aqua 100 Awards. The company is a family owned and operated concern whose philosophy is centered around the Golden We strive to satisfy our customers. Currently the third generation of the Stem family is here to serve customers and carry on the traditions with made in USA products, quality craftmanship and superior customer service.

In the 1990's, Luther Stem Pools & Spas headed in a new direction with several changes for our company. In addition to building fine custom concrete swimming pools, we began selling and constructing above-ground vinyl pools. A concrete pumping division was developed and expanded. The retail showroom was enlarged, adding more portable spas and making the store a fun place to shop.
Luther Stem Pools and Spas has always had the reputation for keeping construction jobs clean, tidy and safe with the home owner in mind. This same philosophy has been carried into the retail store and the service department. Employees are trained pool professionals ready to assist our customers. Our company is the oldest swimming pool company in the state of Arkansas, but we have just begun to make our mark.
