Master Electric Inc

Equipped with fierce determination, his thirty years of field and estimating experience and her degree in Business Management, Russ and Beth Smith founded Master Electric, Inc. in the summer
of 2005.

Despite the effects of a failing national economy, Russ and Beth managed to increase the company’s sales by 250% in their second year of business. That figure would triple again by the end of 2008. Operating from its office in Gladwin, Michigan, Master Electric successfully completed several significant projects in its first 3 years of business: Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan – Fire Alarm System Installation; Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan – Village Apartments Complex; Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, New York
– Hangar 100; Timberlake Federal Court House Complex in Tampa, Florida – Fire Alarm System Installation; and The H Hotel in Midland, Michigan – Complete Electrical, Lighting, Fire Alarm and State-of-the-Art Security System installation.

In 2006, Doug Smith, joined the Board of Directors and expanded Master Electric into the Design/Build sector of electrical contracting. Doug currently serves as Vice President of
Operations and Senior Director of the Design/Build Department. Doug is learning the business from the bottom up and plans to become a second generation owner.

Throughout the “building process”, Russ and Beth have remained centered around their commitment to operate within a strict set of ethical standards. They have surrounded themselves with a team
of employees that share their visions and values. And together, they will ensure that Master Electric continues to persevere and prosper.
