We're always looking for extra help! Even if you don't have any experience in EMS, we're always trying to find driven and dedicated people to be a part of our service. Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad has been serving the people of Hanover County since 1958. We run two ambulances and are always trying to find people who share our love of service. Reuniting with the emergency responders who saved his life! Chris Owens was tackling yard work when he collapsed from cardiac arrest. His wife started the Chain of Survival, a sequence of life-saving steps, until Hanover Fire & EMS Official Page units arrived. "I am alive today thanks to the quick response and treatment that i received from Hanover Fire-EMS," said Chris. "They got to me quickly, when seconds counted, and for that I am grateful."
