Exchange Hall, located in South Acton, and built in 1860, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The building, rich in its Italianate style of architecture, was originally a general store and function hall.
Exchange Hall has 9,500 sq ft, including a beautiful 2,200 sq ft open dance hall with seven foot tall windows and a fourteen foot high ceiling. The Ballroom is alive with the activities of dance and exercise instructors, who rent the space in short and long-term hourly blocks. This rental option is an excellent opportunity to help start or expand your business.
If you are planning a party, dance, shower, wedding reception, or any other special occasion, you can rent the Ballroom for an afternoon or evening. The space can accommodate 110 people for a catered seated function with plenty of room for dancing, or 130 if you do not need the dance space.
The Hall is not handicap accessible to the second and third floors at this time. We are within walking distance from the South Acton train stop, and there is plenty of parking in the South Acton village area.
