Classrooms are structured for small group instruction and infused with occupational, physical, and speech therapies. An exceptionally qualified and fully certificated staff provides varied teaching strategies to address each child's strengths and weaknesses.
Attention is given to insuring that each child is provided with a program, which maximizes the opportunity to develop the objectives of his/her IEP.
Special programs are provided in Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy, Art, Music, Adaptive Physical Education, and Sign Language.
Prevocational, Vocational and Activities of Daily Living are provided as valuable hands-on experience, which assists students in structured learning experiences about the application of their academic training to real life situations, as well as helping them make decisions about their future.
Recognition of all student growth, whether great or small, is part of the culture of Park Lake. Every student grows and develops differently. Activities such as Karate, Drums, trips in and around the community, assemblies and even eating lunch in the cafeteria, give each student a chance to experience the world around them in a different way.
