Henderson Photography

Hello All,
Allow me to introduce am jamie henderson and my business partner is joy pigue. We've just combined our businesses together and moved to our new location on court square in Alamo in January of 2008.
I started Henderson Photography about six years ago. I never "dreamed" or "planned" to a photographer, but from the time my brother and sister and I were little "creativity and improvision" were pounded into our heads. We were always "you can make something from nothing". We weren't given lots of toys and "junk" as mom called it, Santa gave us cameras and video cameras and cooking equipment instead. My sister owns her own hair salon and my brother can cook a full course meal over a campfire, cheesy potatoes, peach cobbler and all! And I can take a portrait in my parent's backyard and my mom ask, "Oh, that's beautiful, Where is that?"
I just adore taking the ordinary and making it an extra-ordinary piece of art. Anything different and suprising. There are just so many options, and angles, and lighting techniques. They all facinate me. Every session is a new experience and it's so exciting to find what can be created from it. I love the look on a mother's face looking through the finished products in "I love them all, and I didn't think we got anything!"
This business is not something I went looking 's just something that kinda started from nothing and then when it got so big I had to consider stopping because I couldn't do it anymore God sent Jeff Shanes to my doorstep wanting me to consider moving my business into his building on courtsquare. My husband and I talked about it and decided we just couldn't and then God sent a phone call from Joy Pigue, the owner of a retouching business I had been using for about two "Let's do this together, we can make it work!" Her enthusiasm and a sermon that had the exact "You have been strategically placed where you are" told me not to here we are today and absolutely lovin' it!!!
