Founded in 1908, Vista Del Mar is a non-profit agency based in the heart of Los Angeles, California. Knowing that nothing is more important than the well being of family, we have been working with our community for over 100 years in the interest of vulnerable children. Due to the evolving needs of our community, we have come together to provide fully integrated services for children facing emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges and for families seeking solutions.
We offer a range of exceptional programs in education, mental health, autism, adoption, residential care, prevention and early intervention that are nurturing and accessible to over 6,000 children and families annually. In addition to our 18-acre campus in West Los Angeles, we operate multiple satellite locations across the LA area. We also provide intensive community based services as well as a dedicated program for children within the autism spectrum.
Our experienced staff and nationally recognized facilities are how we provide the best care to our community. We have been awarded a Gold Seal by the Joint Commission, which is the highest level of accreditation a behavioral health organization can achieve. We have also been accredited for our educational facilities through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are also home to an exceptional higher education program for doctoral as well as other degree certificates in the field of mental health.
We are founded upon Jewish core values expressed through good deeds and human kindness. Our goal is to provide nurturing care to children and share tools and opportunities to families, which can then help build strong foundations for personal growth and lasting relationships.
