The City reserves the right to remove inappropriate comments including those that have obscene language or sexual content, threaten or defame any person or organization, violate the legal ownership interest of another party, support or oppose political candidates or ballot propositions, promote illegal activity, promote commercial services or products or are not topically related to the particular posting. Content, including commentary and links, that is deemed inappropriate or discriminatory, and thus prohibited, shall be subject to removal and will include the following: Content that is not related to the City’s goals and/or department’s mission. Content not related to the post or content being commented on. Content that is in support of or in opposition to a political entity (campaign, organization, or individual). Offensive language, including slang terms, abbreviations, or acronyms that are considered offensive. Inflammatory language meant to anger or upset. Content that promotes, fosters, or otherwise furthers discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, marital status, familial status, national origin, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, source of income, political , ideology, or any protected status under applicable state and federal law. Solicitations for business. Content that encourages or facilitates illegal activity. Private and confidential information. Content that may compromise the security or safety of public systems or the public. Content that violates the legal ownership interest of that content by another party.
