The Pueblo Child Advocacy Center works to protect children from abuse, particularly sexual abuse, and to help them heal when abuse has occurred.
In our Center, a multidisciplinary team including law enforcement, child protection services, medical and mental health providers, the District Attorney and vicitm advocates works together to discover whether abuse has occurred. Where there has been abuse, the team works to contian the abuser and ensure the child's safety and healing.
PCAC also works to prevent abuse from occurring. We offer prevention programs through the schools, community events to help parents protect their children, assistance for churches to ensure safety within their congregation, and training for staff and caretakers who work with children.
