Long Island Teen Challenge (LITC) is a locally operated, faith-based, registered non-profit organization offering aid, support and mentoring with residential care to men, women and families suffering with life-controlling problems such as drugs, alcohol or crime, targeting families and children who are at risk. Long Island Teen Challenge is a fully accredited, credentialed affiliate of Teen Challenge International serving over 90 countries in 1,000 plus centers throughout the world for the past 51 years. Long Island Teen Challenge currently serves 75 students, 25 staff, and up to 29,000 souls through outreach ministries. This program offers a multi-faceted approach, targeting 3 pivotal areas: • PREVENTION: through concerts, street rallies, and school assemblies • INTERVENTION: through community outreach, personal counseling, and literature distribution • RESIDENTIAL: through “in house”, whole person rehabilitation
