A Child's Choice Montessori School

A Child's Choice Montessori School has specially designed, hands-on, self-teaching learning equipment in order to give children an opportunity to do what they love, learning by doing. Each piece of Montessori learning equipment is designed for children learn reading, writing, math, science, geography, history, computers, music, and art. The materials are attractive, purposeful, and have a control of error built in so that children can find and correct their own mistakes, allowing them to teach themselves.

The child’s Interest: One of Montessori’s most significant discoveries was that children have a tremendous ability to choose appropriate work for themselves. Children gravitate to certain activities at certain times and are able to concentrate on those particular things to a very profound degree. When children are given the ability to choose their work based on their interest they are much more likely to learn from it and concentrate on it. That is why teachers at A Child’s Choice Montessori School are trained to identify each child’s true interest in the present moment and show the student materials that fulfill that interest.
