Landfill Information
Rates:
There is a minimum charge of $ for the first 360 lbs. of waste. Any weight over the 360lbs. graduates up to the $ per ton rate.
(For example– 1000 lbs. of waste will be $ per ton.)
Yard Waste rate is same as landfill. Yard Waste CANNOT be placed in landfill.
Residential Recycling:
Following items are
accepted:
-Tin Cans
-Plastic Food Containers #1- #7 (No Styrofoam or
plastic bags/films)
-Glass Food Jars
-Aluminum foil, pans, and cans
-Newspaper (Loose in Bin)
-Office Paper (Loose in Bin)
-Magazines (Loose in Bin)
-Corrugated Cardboard (3’X3’)
-Chipboard/Fiberboard (Soda,
cereal, soda boxes, etc.)
Containers must be contaminant free and no lids are accepted on containers.
Rubble:
All residents and businesses will be charged $ a ton for the following: Concrete, Concrete Blocks, Black Top, Solid Fill, Brick, and Sand.
Large pieces must be less then one cubic foot, that one person can lift.
Appliances / White Goods:
Large home appliances such as stoves, refrigerators,
water heaters, washing
machines, dryers, deep freezes, dehumidifiers,
humidifiers, and
microwaves $7 each.
Tires: All residents will be charged the
following for tires:
1-10 car/light truck tires- $ each
1-10 car/light truck tires on rim- $ each
All loads with more than 10 tires, all business loads, and semi tires or larger will be weighed at the following rates.
Car/truck tires: $180 per ton.
Agricultural, off-road,
implement, larger tires will be weighed at $250 per ton.
Electronic Waste:
The following items must be recycled through the Electronic Waste Recycling Program.
All customers will be charged the following:
$5 - per computer tower & small printer.
$10 - per computer monitor; TV with screen size 20 inches or less; large copier / printer; or computer server.
$15 - per TV with screen size over 20 inches
There is a $5 per unit charge for the
following for businesses. There is no charge for these items for residents:
Scanners
Video Cameras
VCR’s and DVD Players
Radios and CD Players
Cable and Satellite Equipment
Fax Machine
Phones and Cell Phones
Any Item With A Circuit Board
Regional Collection Center:
Household Hazardous Wastes such as cleaners, paint products, garden, pool chemicals and
automobile products are accepted at no cost to residents in Clinton County. Other items accepted include waste motor oil, antifreeze, lead acid batteries, and florescent light bulbs.
Medical Sharps are accepted from residents at no cost. All sharps must be in a hard
plastic container with a lid (laundry detergent container) or a coffee can with a lid. Lid should be taped on and container labeled.
Businesses that have medical sharps will be charged $ per gallon container.
Small business may be eligible to drop– off hazardous waste. Please call 563-243-4749 for more information.
ALL businesses MUST have an
appointment to bring hazardous waste to Regional Collection Center.
Attempted Landfill Disposal of Banned Items is Prohibited.
If illegally dumped - charge = $50 per item.
