Our organization began in 1995 as the Meals On Wheels Research Foundation. In 2011, we refocused our mission and changed our name to the National Foundation to End Senior Hunger. We are engaged in serious policy discussions and research, but are also involved in grassroots work in several communities where we are forging partnerships in urban and rural settings to address the short-term and long-term economic, health, environmental, and social implications of senior hunger.
We are on a mission that can and will make an enormous difference --- community by community.
The National Foundation to End Senior Hunger, or NFESH as we call it, is a pathway to solutions. Interestingly, NFESH is a Hebrew word that means soul or the obligation to save a life in jeopardy. It's who we are, it's what we believe, and it's a goal that begins with us ---- and YOU. Won't you join us?
