BASKETBALL. The season has come to an end here at the District Tournament for both Broncos basketball teams. Both the boys and the girls faced Colfax tonight and lost to the Bulldogs. Congratulations to both Broncos teams for a successful season!

UPDATE: This is the view of Lind-Warden Road as of 12 p.m. where a wash out occurred around 6 a.m. this morning forcing a motorist driving on the road to quickly escape his vehicle before it became completely submerged in water. Adams County Engineer Scott Yaeger said they will begin repairing the road once the water subsides and they expect the construction to take about a month before it will be accessible to motorists. Yaeger said they will work on creating temporary access for residents prior to the road opening.

ROAD CLOSURES. The Adams County Sheriff's Office has released a list of additional roads within the county that are closed due to flooding or wash outs. Please be safe when traveling on rural roads today, as the water levels will continue to rise as snow melts and the ground thaws. Road closures are: Lauer between Foley and Cunningham Damon between Cunningham and Lind-Hatton Lobe between Sutton and Lee Lee between Lauer and Lind-Hatton Suko between Cunningham and Gillis Harder from Hw1 21 to Kulm Lauer from Franz to Harder Damon from Franz to Schrag Batum from Franz to Schrag Urquhart from Kulm to Schrag

ROAD WASHOUT. Adams County residents are advised Lind-Warden Road is closed this morning after a severe wash out occurred and took a vehicle with it. The driver of the vehicle escaped unharmed, but the road washed out and dropped nearly 15 feet. According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Lind-Warden Road is closed at the Roxboro Road intersection and the Highway 21 intersection. No through traffic will be allowed until the road is repaired. As the weather continues to change and flooding becomes an issue, travelers are reminded to be cautious and report roadway issues as soon as they are noticed. The Special Election. The initial ballot count for today's Special Election has been completed. The Ritzville School District bond is passing with a 64.77% approval rate. The Adams County Parks and Recreation District No. 4 Levy has passed with 74.59% in favor of the levy.
