Kendall Hill Nursery was established in 1998 when Kathy Sharp purchased town adjoining nurseries in Newark, Illinois. One of the nurseries Kathy purchased was a 50 acre shrub nursery and the other was a 200 acre shade and ornamental tree nursery. Kathy had a vision to combine the nurseries and offer a full line of premier products for the landscape trade. Since those early days, Kendall has continued to grow and has more than doubled in size to 700 contiguous acres.
Kendall Hill’s 300 acres of trees are watered by an in-line drip irrigation system which is fed by an 8 acre lake on the property. The facility also provides drip irrigation and fertilization to balled and burlap wrapped trees in tree holding areas waiting to ship to customers. This innovative system ensures that products are fresh and healthy when the customer receives them.
