Lacasa’s NeighborWorks Homeownership Center provides residents of Elkhart and contiguous Indiana counties with a full range of homeownership services including: help with budgeting and credit, matched savings accounts, financial and homebuyer education, home selection and rehabilitation, loans and grants, post purchase and foreclosure prevention counseling.
With the development of multi-family housing, housing rehab for first time buyers and rehab of existing homes for homeowners, Lacasa facilitated an investment of $15,489,000 in the local economy in 2008. Lacasa owns and manages 238 attractive and affordable rental homes and apartments for low and moderate income families.
Lacasa has been a member of the National NeighborWorks Network since 1999, is a member of the National Campaign for Homeownership, a HUD certified counseling agency and a certified immigration counseling agency. Lacasa’s focus on community building and organizing has resulted in the formation of 12 active neighborhood associations.
Lacasa has a history of exceptional grass roots support represented by our partnership with local government, neighborhood associations, a loyal donor base of individuals, churches and local businesses.
