Cindy's Celebrations is a Local Non-Profit 501(C)3 run from a Christian perspective that benefits seniors and their families in the Santa Cruz area, and was founded by Cindy Lash in 1990.
Each day we pick up each individual weather they live at home alone, with a loved one or in a skilled facility and bring them to different restaurants in the community. Often this is the only outing that the individual gets in the week, it provides great socialization, the opportunity to build friendships, enables them to get out of their normal environment and also provides respite for any caregivers, which often times are their loved ones.
Our luncheon day outing celebration starts with a pick up at your front door by one of our "Hand picked by God" drivers/staff members. weather you or your loved one enjoys the scenic drives through Santa Cruz or a later pick up and straight to the restaurant we are here to serve you and your needs. Once at the chosen restaurant for that day we unload our vehicles one at a time giving us the opportunity to greet each Senior with a friendly hello and warm hug. Once everyone is seated around the table we Welcome everyone and share any new or exciting things that are happening. Each senior is able to chose their beverage and luncheon entree. After lunch we play BINGO and win candy bars for prizes!!! we have so much fun! around 2pm we have dessert and then begin to load each of our vehicles. by 3pm we pull away from the restaurant and begin to bring each individual back home.
Our goal within a day is to celebrate and honor each senior, making sure they know they are of great value and worth and have not been forgotten.
