Dr. Buffington is involved in his community where he is a member the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. He is active in his profession; having membership in the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Buffington loves all aspects of veterinary medicine. He is a devoted husband, father of two, member of Prestonwood North Baptist Church teaching an adult bible study class and has a Shih Tzu named Bailey. He is a graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1993. He honed his skills as a mixed animal practitioner for four years in Fort Worth before moving to Frisco in 1997 to open Stonebrook Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Ken Chitwood
