HUNTS UNLIMITED was established in 1982 by Carol Karp of Los Angeles. As of January 2008, HUNTS UNLIMITED has created and performed over 2,000 treasure hunts in locations across the United States. In 2013, Carol retired and her son, Gary Karp took over running the business.
The hunts performed by the company range from small private parties to large corporate events. One of our biggest events to date was "Minnie's Moonlit Madness," a unique event held after park hours inside Disneyland for over 1,000 employees. This successful event was a fundraiser, with thousands of dollars going to several charities supported by the Disney organization.
The international accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP interviews and recruits students from college campuses across the country. The staff of Ernst & Young uses treasure hunts as a unique recruiting tool. This fun and interactive event allows the Ernst & Young staff to discover qualities in their potential employees that cannot be found in an across-the-desk interview or "static" social event.
The staff of HUNTS UNLIMITED travels across the nation to create and perform hunts for every kind of group or organization. Some interesting hunt locations have included the REDWOOD FOREST , UNIVERSAL STUDIOS IN FLORIDA, TIMES SQUARE IN MANHATTAN, and UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES around the country.
