The Country School was founded in East Hampton in 1990. We are a private school meeting the needs of children ages 2-5. The Country School is a place for children to learn social skills, gain independence and learn about the world around us. Our goal is to encourage each child to mature to their ultimate potential in all areas including social, physical and cognitive development. Our program uses age appropriate materials, songs, games and books to emphasize learning and growing among each child. Class sizes are small affording critical one-on-one support and guidance. All children are treated with kindness and respect, and are encouraged to treat others the same. Teachers foster independence working side by side encouraging all children in a positive way to work, grow and play together.
