The original agency was founded in 1968 by Gil Schwartz, and purchased in 1988 by Tony Marchetti. The Marchetti Company began importing wine in 2005 from Europe with a focus on distinctive quality and excellent value. Our wines are warehoused under temperature controlled conditions at Fond du Lac Cold Storage in Edison, New Jersey to provide clients with immediate access for rapid distribution. This portfolio is imported under the name Scoperta Importing which means “A Great Find” in Italian
As a marketing agency, The Marchetti Company has enjoyed long relationships with some of California’s finest wineries, including Robert Foley Vineyards and Monticello Vineyards. We are proud to represent these wineries in select markets.
