Nevada Joint Union High School District Bus Route 34 will be running an abbreviated route before and after school on Monday, February 13, 2017 with stops at Newtown, Old Downeyville Highway and the Willow. We will keep you advised each day as we gain more information about the Highway 49 closure north of Nevada City. Please stay safe as our community continues to assess the damage of the latest winter storms.

Greetings NJUHSD Family, As we approach the midpoint of February, this is a friendly reminder that February is our month for community engagement for our Local Control Accountability Plan and Budget Planning for the 2017-18 school year. We held two of our annual 4 town hall meetings around the county at Bear River on Monday, January 30 and Penn Valley on Monday, February 6. Out two upcoming meetings are in the MPR at Nevada Union at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 13 and at the San Juan Ridge Family Resource center at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 27. At each meeting we are updating the community on our progress towards our LCAP and 2020 Vision goals and soliciting input for the next year. Each meeting is the same so come to the one that best fits your schedule are area of residence. If you are unable to come to a meeting, please take 3 – 5 minutes to fill out our 2017 LCAP survey now! Here's a little bit more information about the Highway 49 closure. Today, students who live in the area or Newtown, Old Downeyville Highway and the Willow are riding on Route 35. Students going to the Ridge and Camptonville are riding Route 34. On Friday, tomorrow, Route 34 will run for the following stops: Newtown, Old Downeyville Highway and the Willow. Stay safe out there!
