Our students have been working really hard in the garden. Today they saw the hard work begin to pay off. We have a strawberry on its way to red.

We have a mud kitchen!!!

This morning we talked about our tone voice and body language. We use the words " I love you". It's suppose to make us feel good! However with a change of tone I can make hearing "I love you" a scary thing. If im looking at a screen, rolling my eyes or not connecting with you when I say it, the words have no real connection. The kids all completely explained this and could give examplesčś│ I wish parents could sit in on this conversation without taking it personally, and use it as a mirror. Taking a look at yourself thru the eyes of a child is very humbling.

Student Guides, they are such a big part of our classroom. Many students will connect the concept so much stronger when they are guided by a peer. This student leading in this picture is amazing. She can engage the students in a way that can put many adults to shame. I hope she keeps those skills for the rest of her life!

Tomorrow we will being doing this in class. After we will talk about paying attention to our tone of voice!
