Alan Dye, his brother and father founded Dyco Manufacturing, Inc. They started as a tool and die shop in a modest three car garage on the family homestead. In 1968 they moved to a 2500 square foot building in Alvordton, Ohio. In 1971, they bought the ground and built the first 5000 square foot building at the current location. This is also the year the corporation was formed. Through the years they steadily grew the tool and die business. Then someone finally asked the question, "You built the die, can you run it?" This is where the business took off. It started with one press and one building. After three more expansions, Dyco Manufacturing, Inc. sits on eight acres of ground, with nearly 25,000 square foot under roof.

In 1997, Alan purchased the company in it's entirety. He worked another seven years before retiring and handing the company over to a third generation to run. Through the years the business has changed. One thing that has never wavered is our commitment to quality and to our customers.

In 2017, Dyco will celebrate its 50th year in business.
