The California Coastal Coalition (CalCoast) is a non-profit advocacy group comprised of 35 coastal cities; five counties; AMBAG, BEACON, SANDAG and SCAG; along with business associations and allied groups committed to restoring California's coast through sand replenishment, increasing the flow of natural sediment, wetlands recovery and improved water quality. CalCoast was the co-sponsor, with the CA Shore and Beach Preservation Association, of the CA Public Beach Restoration Act (AB 64-Ducheny) which was signed into law in October, 1999.
