- I sit on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Professional Tattooists ( ). This is a non-profit, international organization that has members numbering over 3000 worldwide. I am one of 11 board members, and I am currently serving on my 4th term. The main goals of the are to promote safe tattooing, by teaching classes around the country, and to enable artist from all over the share information with each other.
- Locally, I am very active in my hometown of Elkton, MD. I do volunteer work for my community whenever I can, offering my services as an artist, musician, or organizer as needed.
- I sit on the Board of Directors for the Cecil County Arts Council and I am about to begin my 2nd term.
- In 2009 the town of Elkton honored me by naming me Elkton’s Small Businessman of the Year!
- To be honest, I never would have considered being a tattooist if it had not been offered to me. It has turned out to be a blessing, and even after all these years I am grateful to be making a living with my art.
- As important as it is to my customers to receive a clean, safe, beautiful piece of art, it is of equal importance to me. Not only from a business point of view, but from a lifetime of being an artist. I take great pride and care with each piece of art that I produce, whether it is an illustration to be framed or a tattoo.
- I’ve been asked what my favorite thing is about being a tattoo artist. My answer is this… Unlike other art mediums that invariably are hung on a wall and viewed by a limited amount of people, my art is out there walking around being viewed by people everyday, all over the world. How can it get any better than that?
- The artists that I hire are carefully chosen and have the same set of ethics that I do.
- Come pay us a visit. You are welcome to watch us work, provided the client doesn’t mind, and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
