Mustain’s All-Risk Insurance is a locally owned, family run insurance agency. We married in 1977 and shortly thereafter Mike started in the insurance business. Working as a Farm Bureau agent in Floyd County, Mike began a dream of being an Independent Insurance agent. Mike worked as a Prudential agent in Floyd County from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, Tammy got her Insurance Agent’s license and we opened our agency, Sellersburg All-Risk Insurance, A name that fit well while we were located in Sellersburg. In 1995 after a demographic study of our customer base, we relocated to Clarksville, IN and that name no longer worked.
We changed our name to Mustain’s All-Risk Insurance but have kept the same family commitment, “To serve our customers with dignity and respect”. We are proud to serve our customers, and we put our name proudly to that service. Many have said: “we feel like a part of the family”, a goal we have always tried to attain.
While insurance can sometimes be hard to understand, we try to explain coverage in plain English. We have found that many folks that come to us don’t understand insurance and have never really had it explained. We believe it is important to not only have insurance, but to understand the coverage you have. Price is always a factor in the insurance purchase, we believe “you need insurance, but you have to eat”. Sometimes people purchase the insurance they can afford and then as their situation improves they increase their coverage. We are always happy to accommodate their specific situation.
While our agency focuses on Personal Auto, Mustain’s All-Risk Insurance also writes Homeowners, Business Auto, ATV, Motorcycle and Mobile Home insurance. We do not write Life, Health or Commercial Business policies, our focus is on meeting the personal needs of our clients. As an Independent Insurance agency, we represent many different companies and that flexibility allows us to “shop” for the best auto insurance price from about a dozen different companies. We are not “tied” to one particular company and thus we can offer different companies with differing rate structures.
If you call or come in, don’t be surprised if we recommend you stay with your current carrier. Many times we have found it would be better for a customer to stay where they are and not switch. We are honest enough to tell them this and hope for a referral. Our goal is to always put you, the customer, first in any decision or recommendation we may make.
