San Diego, Texas - Marcos V. Ibanez, Sr . 57 years old passed away in a Corpus Christi hospital. Marcos was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and a great friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, barbecuing but most of all his love was music. Marcos was a musician for 41 years he played with various bands and was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente, Sr. and Lupita Vasquez Ibanez and his special aunt, Felicita Vasquez. He is survived by his wife, Angelita R. Ibanez of Alice, two sons, Marcos V. Ibanez Jr. and Juan G. (Lisa) Ibanez both of San Diego, two-step-sons, Ruben (Thelma) Carranza and Santos Carranza both of Alice, one step-daughter, Andrea (Homer) Gongora of Alice, three brothers, Vicente Ibanez, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Juan Martin (Annabel) Ibanez of Alice and Jose Luis (Donna) Ibanez of Bentonville, six sisters, Diana Martinez, Magdalena Vasipalli, Melisa Ibanez, Maricela Ibanez, Jessica (Andrew) Trejo all of Alice and Susan Ibanez of Mathis, sixteen grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. that evening. San Diego, Texas: Jesus Cesar Montemayor Gutierrez 71, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in an Alice Hospital. Cesar was born in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico on Jan.11,1945. He came to San Diego in 1975 and started his business Montemayor Food Market- Famous for the "Barbacoa". He was a very successful business owner and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, mother, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Jesus Montemayor Montemayor. Cesar is survived by his wife of 45 years Enriqueta E. Montemayor of San Diego, one son Jesus Cesar (Julie Ann) Montemayor of San Diego, two daughters Claudia M. (Agustin) Colchado and Enriqueta M. (Everado) Ramirez both of Laredo, his mother Alicia G. Montemayor, five brothers, Ernesto Montemayor G., Ruben Montemayor G., Carlos Montemayor G., Jorge Montemayor G., Eduardo Montemayor G., two sisters Griselda M. Sanchez, Nydia M. Vega all of Monteterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico, six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. San Diego, Texas - Alejo Carlos Garcia, Jr. , known to many as Alejito, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 in an Alice hospital. He was born on September 10, 1961 in Alice, Texas and was a lifelong resident of San Diego, Texas. He retired from TxDot - District # 16 after 20 years of service. He was a lively character and will be missed by his many friends and family. Alejito, is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Encarnacion and Eva Gonzalez Garcia, his maternal grandparents, Salomon and Guadalupe Reyes. He is survived by his parents, Alejo C. San Diego, Texas - Lydia Perez Garza was born on January 7, 1923, to Juvencio Cantu (Mencho) Perez and Juanita Garcia Perez. Lydia passed her soul to the Lord on October 22, 2016. Granny, as she was affectionately called by practically everyone who knew her, graduated from San Diego High School at the age of 17 in 1940. She then attended Business College in San Antonio. This education served her well in later years. Upon her return to San Diego she re-united with the love of her life, Amado Martinez Garza, Jr., and were married on July 15, 1942. Granny and Amado worked side by side which culminated in successful business ventures including owners/operators of the San Diego Meat Market, ranching and farming enterprises, as well as ventures into banking. As such, Amado served on the Board of Directors of the First State Bank of San Diego due to his being a major stockholder. Lydia and Amado were lifelong partners in business as well as in marriage until his death on October 26, 1998. Following his death Lydia was elected to also serve on the Board of Directors of the First Bank of San Diego where she served with distinction until health issues forced her retirement. Lydia was preceded in ascension to their Heavenly Father by her husband, Amado M. Garza, Jr.; her parents Juvencio Sr. and Juanita Perez; her brother Juvencio Cantu (Menchito) Perez Jr. She is survived by her sister Consuelo (Jose) Reyes of Pensacola, Florida; daughter Virginia Lydia (Ricardo) Everett of Austin, Tx.; her son Edmundo Luis (Connie) Garza of San Diego, Tx. Grandchildren: Rick (Michelle) Everett; Rebecca Everett (Sam) Degelia; Edmundo Luis(Monica) Garza, Jr.; Edna L. (Eloy) Gonzalez-Sanchez; Eduardo L. Garza; Eden Lee (Carlos) Hernandez-Garza. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 5 p.m - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Maria was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel Enriquez and Trinidad Wartuche, her two husbands Alberto Hughes and Ignacio Santos, one son Roberto Hughes, one brother Martin Enriquez. She is survived two sons: Oscar C. (Clementina) Hughes of San Diego, Carlos E. (Mary) Hughes of Beeville, two daughters Carolina Ybarra of Beeville and Esmeralda Escamilla of San Diego, 18 grandchildren, 44 great -grandchildren 8 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
