The Care Team When it comes to care, our staff-to-resident ratio means customized care tailored to the resident’s preference. Our associates focus on what the residents can do, never what they cannot. Personal Care Assistants are carefully screened and have completed specialized training for residents with memory loss. All resident care plans and cares are consistently evaluated by a Registered Nurse.
Safety of your loved one is our first priority. The layout of Hansen House is easy to navigate. Resident’s have the privacy of their own accommodations including their own bathroom and shower. Decorating and furnishing the residents personal areas, to their preference, is encouraged. The location is convenient for family members and friends to visit regularly.
Life Enrichment Hansen House has innovative programming which allows us to provide choice and flexibility with individual attention. Given the small size of our programs, services can be customized to resident’s preferences, not our schedule. Our Team will discover what your loved ones activity interests are and base daily calendars around those desires. The day will begin with more stimulating activities and slowly wind down to simpler activities in the afternoon.
Cuisine The meals are another delightful choice, not food prepared and served in bulk. Every meal, every day, is prepared and served home style in our intimate dining room. We engage the residents in the making and serving of the meal, if that is what they did at home.
Let it Bloom Many of us love nature. Keeping that in mind, Hansen House developed a courtyard that can bring joy to those who love the great outdoors. Our raised planters allow residents to tend and take care of a variety of fruits and vegetables in a safe environment.
Engagement Our Personal Care Assistants are trained to encourage involvement in a comforting and professional manner. Your loved one has memory loss but that doesn’t mean that they don’t want to stay busy. We want your loved ones involved if they so desire.
Independence and Choice We believe that all individuals are important and have diverse talents and abilities. Hansen House strives to recognize the differences in all of us. Our Personal Service Assistants are trained to identify those differences and encourage the highest level of independence that their ability allows.
