Charleston Internal Medicine, Inc. was established in 2001 by Dr. R. Thomas Bowden. Today, the practice has 5 physicians and 3 mid-level providers in the office and the group also has their own Hospitalist who sees our patients when they are admitted to CAMC General or Memorial Hospitals. CIM accepts patients age 13 years of age and older.
CIM uses a certified Electronic Health Record (EHR). We offer many services including Same Day Appointments for Acute Conditions, Comprehensive Wellness/Preventative Services, Comprehensive Women's Care, Full Service Ultrasound, Bone Density Scan (DEXA), Echocardiograms, 24 Hr. Holter Monitoring, Nuclear Stress Testing, and Pulmonary Function Testing.
CIM also has as Clinical Research Division that participates in National Drug Studies and Clinical Research Project.
