Headstart Vesper Center

We have 2 programs at Head Start: Infant & Toddler Program and our Preschool Program:

Our Preschool Program is a comprehensive child development program that serves low-income, preschool children (ages 3-5) and their families.
The preschool program provides families with educational services for their children and also addresses important issues such as nutrition, medical & dental services, mental health, social and emotional development and promotes parent involvement.
Children learn the skills they need to be successful in school. They are exposed to new experiences like Fieldtrips, Family Enrichment Days and Family Fun Events.
Each classroom of 17 children has a Teacher, a Teacher Assistant and Classroom Aide. There is also a Family Service Worker at each center. All of them experienced in providing services to children having cultural diversities, special needs, and disabilities. This allows your family to have a sucessful and enjoyable experience while your child attends Head Start.
Our four centers are located in Marshfield, Vesper, Wisconsin Rapids, and Biron.
Classes run Tuesday-Friday Beginning in early September and ending mid-May.
We provide transportation, a nutririous mean and snack.

Our Infant & Toddler Program is a comprehensive child development program that serves low-income infants, toddlers (ages 6 weeks- 3) and their families. We acknowledge the importance of a family centered program which follows the principle that parents are their child's primary teacher. Therefore, every effort is made to support families and encourage parents to be involved in their children's growth, development, and education.
Stressing the significance of those early healthy attachments are reflected in our curricula, welcoming environments (center-base and home-based) and parents involvement opportunities.
Our center-based option will offer comprehensive child care serving children 6 weeks of age to 3 years old. Each classroom accommodates 8 children with three teachers. There is also a Family Service Worker avaiable at each center.
We have 3 centers who have the Infant & Toddler center-based option: Vesper, Wisconsin Rapids, Biron.
Hours for this program are 7:30-4:15 Monday-Friday.
We provide formula, diapers, wipes, nutririous meals and snacks.

We also have a home-based option for our Infant & Toddler Program. This program serves expecting moms/dads and children up to three years old.
