Barren River Fire Department (Station 70) is one of nine volunteer fire departments that protect the citizens of Warren County. Founded in 1977, Barren River FD covers an area of 35 square miles and a population of over 3,500 people. Included in the district is a large variety of residences, businesses, and industry. Barren River FD's district is outlined by all areas North of Morgantown Road, West of Veteran's Memorial Blvd, the Barren River acts as the Northern Boundary and approximately 10 miles of the William Natcher Parkway from the Morgantown Rd. interchange (9mm) to the Butler/Warren county line (20mm).
