Lakeview Christian Home is celebrating 50 years of serving Southeast New Mexico Seniors.
Founded in 1960 by Dr. Owen Puckett and the elders at the Fox & Lake Church of Christ, the last 50 years have taken Lakeview Christian Home through many changes.
We currently have 112 Skilled Nursing Facility beds, 28 Assisted Living rooms, 134 Independent Living Homes (and still building), a Home Health Agency, and Hospice.
As we look to the future of Long Term Care, we strive to provide quality care in a more "home-like" environment. This goal calls for transforming the current nursing facility into five long term skilled care "Homes" and a short term rehab center. Each home will have a more family-like atmosphere which will allow for greater privacy, comfort, and security. This peaceful environment will bring about an exceptional lifestyle for our residents.
The plan is to begin this ten-year project with a target date of completing the first "Home" in late 2011.
