Honored to join the men and women of the US Postal Service to honor the service of Daniel J. Cleary, who joined the Marine Corps in 1951 at age 17. In his time in the Marine Corps, he was assigned to Parris Island where he played a valuable role in processing recruits and helping to prepare our military personnel for war time service. Upon his return Daniel and his wife, Pearl, raised four children, and he joined the US Postal Service where used his skills to process new employees. Together we offer our deep gratitude and respect to Daniel and his family at this Memorial Day ceremony to recall his service to our nation and the community.

Photo was a sent to us today by a Rail Trail commuter. Keep an eye out for wildlife. Look but don't touch, not that twitter.com/i/web/status/8…

A friend of ours spotted this guy this morning on the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail near the Normanside Bridge. Strictly a look but don't touch situation as with all wildlife you may come across on the Rail Trail.
