We enjoyed today's presentation by County Clerk Bruce Hidley and the Hall of Records detailing the history of education and the challenges African American school children faced in Albany. The displays and information offered were very informative and provided an appropriate backdrop for Black History Month.

With aging water and sewer infrastructure posing challenges to local governments in New York, I attended a news conference in support of a bill creating the Safe Water infrastructure Action Program. The bill is sponsored by Senator Jim Tedisco and Assemblyman Phil Steck and provides funding to local governments to repair and maintain drinking water, sewer, storm water management and related infrastructure.
