ParkAlbany has teamed up with Albany Center Gallery and the Albany Barn once again, with support from several other partners, to create a second mural on downtown Albany’s Quackenbush Parking Garage. The original piece will fill the south wall and wrap around to the west. Last year, local artist Michael Conlin completed a mural on the garage’s north wall featuring colorful Eastern Bluebirds in flight, New York’s state bird.

Albany’s free Alive at Five concert series presented by @[143790482303586:274:KeyBank] returns for its 28th season on June 8 presented by @[173703599066:274:Capital District Transportation Authority - CDTA], & @[8009404851:274:Exit 97.7 WEXT] with @[66522747391:274:Karl Denson's Tiny Universe] and @[842547279105133:274:Let's Be Leonard]! Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe is highly regarded as one of the best live bands on the planet. Karl, who now serves as saxophonist in The Rolling Stones, is fresh off a tour with the legendary rock band that included the highest grossing concert festival of all time, Desert Trip in Indio, CA. KDTU will be showcasing brand new material from their forthcoming studio album, due in 2017. Let’s Be Leonard is a rock ‘n roll jazz explosion out of Saratoga NY that bursts at the seams of tight, lyrical pop ballads with a daredevilish, looney jam band quality reminiscent of Phish. Their goofy and expressive playing of catchy, original music has grabbed attention from Nashville, TN to Austin, TX to Appleton, WI and more. Stay tuned for more dates being released soon!
