Attorney Mark V. Larson
Mark is a Civil Trial Specialist certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has a master's in accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mark is licensed to practice law before all courts in North Dakota, all Minnesota courts, the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mark currently serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice representing North Dakota. The Board of Governors is the governing body of the Association. The AAJ is the largest group of trial lawyers in the world.
He holds a masters degree in accountancy, and is a certified public accountant (CPA), which helps him understand insurance matters and the financial aspects of your claim for compensation.
Mark has lived his whole life in North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. He was born in Hallock, Minnesota and grew up in Pembina, North Dakota. He graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1979. Mark and his wife Nancy have been married since 1979. They have five children.
Attorney Melissa E. Leathers
In 2007, Melissa graduated from Prior Lake High School. In lieu of her junior and senior years of high school, she attended Normandale Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Education. She went on to attend the University of North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice in 2009. Melissa received her Juris Doctor degree from the North Dakota School of Law in 2012. After graduation, she moved to Minot to start her professional career.
While in Law School, Melissa participated in a number of different activities and groups. These included Moot Court, Law Women’s Caucus, Malpractice Bowl 2009-11, Delta Theta Phi, and she was the Vice-President from 2011-12 and Secretary from 2010-11 of the Student Trial Lawyers Association.
Melissa is currently a member of North Dakota Association for Justice (NDAJ) and the Ward County Bar Association. The areas that she practices include: personal injury, criminal and family law. She is licensed to practice law in all State and Federal Courts in North Dakota.
Her hobbies include golfing, traveling and working out. In her spare time, Melissa has involved herself in a number of different community service groups, including, Katrina Relief, Adopt-A-Highway, Susan G. Komen and Tour de Forks Breast Cancer Walks, Feed My Starving Children, Mission Trip to Orlando, FL, ND Flood Volunteer, Haiti Relief, and in October of 2013, she donated over ten inches of her hair to breast cancer awareness.
