National Industrial Supply Company (NIS) is a minority owned and operated business and was established in 1981 as a distributor and repair center for chain slings, wire rope slings, nylon slings and complementary hardware. In the early 1990’s NIS became a member of the Michigan Minority Business Development council.
Since then NIS has proven itself as a leader in the Michigan minority business industry by building and maintaining lasting business relationships with such industry leaders as; DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Detroit Diesel, Detroit Edison, Consumers Energy and many other reputable companies.
Today NIS provides a wide range of services such as; conducting in-plant seminars on over-head lifting, lifting and rigging inspections on chain, wire rope and nylon slings, certifying alloy chain slings, lifting devices, Spreader Beams and End Effectors. We also build and Manufacture all of them, As well as helping customers keep up to date with OSHA requirements and records.
