The Yavapai Family Advocacy Center, a project of Prevent Child Abuse Arizona, is a place where victims have the opportunity to obtain a variety of crisis services in one location, with all agencies working together in the best interest of the victim. At YFAC, the victim can receive a forensic interview, a sexual assault exam and speak with victim advocates who will address their immediate needs and provide emotional support. Trauma is minimized by limiting the number of times a victim must tell their story.
The Yavapai Family Advocacy Center is supported by all local and regional governments, law enforcement agencies, social service providers, medical and mental health professionals and the Yavapai County Attorney.
