A&L Horse Transport shared Rocky's Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc.'s post.
Dixie was a weanling a few of us teamed up to help last year. She has been in rehab at Rocky's Horse Rescue and has now grown into a beautiful yearling. She is finally ready to find her own home. She has come a long way, but she needs a person who is willing to give her the extra time she needs to fully trust people. Everyone share her out, please!
Dixie is a yearling. She came to us never even having anyone touch her. Her mother is a Kentucky Mountain Gaited horse. Dixie does have a slight club right front hoof. It does not cause issues. She gets her feet trimmed every 6 weeks. Which she's not very happy about. The perfect home for Dixie would be with an experienced person that has raised foals. She still has trust issues and can be difficult to trim her hooves. I do think with a person of her own she will excel. When Dixie came to us she was very emaciated. She's really grown and is going to make someone a very nice horse. Dixie fee is $400 Location Thurmont MD DOB April 12, 2016 Please pm the page or call Sharon at 240-367-7256. Someone out there has to want this beautiful young lady.

A local breeder has asked me if I would network this YEARLING, Arab COLT as an alternative to auction. Location is Gettysburg PA (NOT at Omni Arabians). This guy has halter bloodlines, but his owner thinks he will make a nicer performance horse instead. For those familiar with Arabian pedigrees, I was told his sire is Al Malik who is out of the famous Marwan Al Shaqab. Thyme after Thyme is his beautifully built mother. She is by a stallion named Pyro Thyme. Check out his parents in the last two pictures. Now remember, this is not his final color! This boy will eventually turn gray like his Daddy and he is going to be a nice size! At a year old, he already stands at 15.1 with plenty of growing to do! His feet have been trimmed and he is up to date on vaccines. $700.00 is a steal for your next PROJECT horse! Send me a message if you'd like to visit this youngster in person. And please make sure to share him out! I know we can find him an awesome new place to call home!

*Update* The foal finally passed the meconium "plug" with the help of a super enema and lots of prayers of course! Thanks to all who were crossing their fingers and toes! We added some pics we had snapped of the adorable little guy when we took him back home in the comments!👇 *Original Post* Everyone cross your fingers for our client's newborn foal having trouble making his first poopy!

"Trailer Backing" 101. Lol
Backing a trailer is an essential skill as I was reminded over and over and OVER this year. Whether you have to put your trailer into a back-in only angled parking spot at the barn, make a "U" turn at a T intersection, navigate a tight ride camp, or turn around in your best friends driveway - knowin...
