The 2017 Barren County School year starts Thursday August 10th! The Barren County Sheriff's Office has a few reminders for parents and student drivers as everyone prepares for another school year. If you drive to school please leave early to allow yourself enough time to reach your destination. We suggest everyone allow themselves an extra 20 minutes on their commute in anticipation of heavier traffic with schools starting back. Take time the night before to prepare school supplies and all back to school items needed for the next day to avoid feeling rushed during these first few busy mornings. Lastly, expect traffic delays due to back to school traffic, particularly on Trojan Trail and Highway 1297. Thank you all in advance for your help and patience as everyone adjusts to another busy school year. We hope everyone has a great year!

We would like to send a huge thank you to everyone over at Amneal Pharmaceuticals for their generous donation and for cramming the cruiser full of school supplies for Glasgow and Barren Co. students!
