Openhouse builds critically needed services, housing and community programs to support the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults. Openhouse bridges the gap between service agencies and LGBT older adults with programs that expand access to health care, housing and support services. We train mainstream service providers to become welcoming and inclusive to LGBT seniors. We provide information and referrals to LGBT seniors and their caregivers. We organize educational forums, workshops and other community events. And we are working to build LGBT-welcoming affordable housing in San Francisco.
