It was a dark and stormy night. Dave looked out the window, wistfully wishing Nancy would return home from buying groceries. He clutched his cloak and pressed firmly upon the front door, manfully determined to help her bring in the assorted and sundry items. Nancy drove up, cheerfully explaining that there was a price check and the man in front of her was paying with nickels and quarters. Dave grunted a knowing affirmation and lifted the case of bottled water out of the trunk. Unfortunately due to his incredible strength, he overwhelmed the packaging and several bottles squirted out, hitting the ground with an indelicate thud, hydro-planing under the car. Kneeling in a puddle of ice cold rain-water to retrieve the errant bottles, Dave swore an oath that he - or others - should never have to do this again.
