We started by helping 12 families in October of 1988. Ocean of Love has helped over 400 children to date. Unfortunately, we have grown in leaps and bounds. We would like nothing more than to be able to say childhood cancer no longer exists and we are no longer needed. All of us know the reality of this is not in the near future. The every day needs of the children and their families are our primary concern. We provide financial assistance for transportation, phone bills, parking, food, counseling, clothes, car repairs, insurance, utilities, art therapy, funerals and much more. Each of the families are treated as friends…they are not a number or a name without a face. Many consider us a lifeline to hold onto at any time, day or night. When we lose a child to cancer, our contact with the family does not end; this is when we are needed even more.
