Happening NOW through NOON - Kyle is at Nyack College in Nyack, NY with our Handi*Camp display. Pray for students to stop and chat and learn about our summer ministry opportunities as part of our camp staff. It's not a camp day event - just him there. And he's fearful that the campus location he was assigned might not produce a lot of traffic. Trusting that the Lord will prompt those of HIS choosing to stop by! Thanks for joining us in praying!

TONIGHT - BASIS Support Group meetings for bereaved parents, 7 pm, in Aldan, PA and Akron, PA. Please pray for good times to devotions, sharing, praying and fellowship in both groups - especially that parents will leave feeling encouraged and supported (and having the opportunity to support other parents). Each parent is on a grief journey - different places on that journey. But each can benefit from times like these in our group settings. Thanks for praying!

Catching up on another website item from several weeks back - Jackie England's latest REST Assured blog post, "Blue Jean Affirmation." Check out Jackie's wise words concerning our search for significance. "In our search for significance, we can find ourselves searching out kind and gentle words from any source available. We must be careful and live as those with wisdom so we don’t fall prey to our need for acceptance, affirmation, value and purpose. These are available to those who enter into a personal relationship with Christ, on His terms as expressed in His own words. 'For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.' John 6:40" Thanks, Jackie!

Our Minds Renewed ministry supports and encourages people addressing mental health issues either personally or with a loved one. The next meeting of the Calvary Church co-sponsored support group (here in Lancaster County) is TONIGHT, 7-8:30pm, Room 317 in the church. The group is currently involved in a DVD Bible Study series by John Ortberg, “The Me I Want to Be.” For more info about the group, contact Cathi Myers (717-859-4777, ext. 110). Pray for a good meeting tonight and for the various needs group members have. Thanks for praying!

Catching up on recent items posted on our ministry website (sorry for the delay as recent updates have highlighted college visits and the property project). BASIS is our feature today. There have been two recent blog posts by Director Don Allison (2/1 - "Some Helps for the Grieving" and 2/13 - "Picking Up the Pieces") - check them out at https://www.hvmi.org/blog-grief-basis. Thanks, Don, for writing these posts - I always appreciate what you share from your heart. And the BASIS "RENEW" quarterly newsletter is newly posted - https://www.hvmi.org/basis-for-bereaved-parents. Sunday afternoon is the monthly support group meeting in Lavelle, PA - pray for this group of bereaved parents as they come together for support and mutual encouragement. Thanks so much.
