To operate exclusively and independently of the Wayne County Agriculture Society as a non profit, exempt from federal income tax under Section of the Ohio revised code, which the Internal Revenue Service has determined to be exempt from federal income tax under Section 501 (C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Friends of Wayne County Fair Board, different from Wayne County Fair Board of the Wayne County Agricultural Society, oversees and operates the Buckeye Agricultural Museum and Education Center in addition to accepting donations for the Museum and or the Wayne County Agricultural Society.
