We are planning a service interruption on April 26, 2017 for Clayton Pike from SR 41 to Old Dutch Road. This will also include Old Dutch Road from Clayton Pike to Ripley Pike. Stanfield Road will also be out of service. This service interruption is due to new equipment installation. We will work as quickly as possible to get everyone back in service. We will advise of a boil advisory after we complete the project. This project will start around 8:30 am. If you have any questions you can call the business office at 937-544-2396. INVITATION TO BID SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the Adams County Regional Water District Locust Grove Waterline Replacement will be received by the Adams Co. Regional Water District, 9203 SR 136, P.O. Box 427, West Union, OH 45693, until 11:00 a.m., local time, Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of work consists of approximately 10,000 l.f. of various sizes of waterlines in and around Locust Grove with necessary appurtenances.The opinion of the probable cost of construction is $351,500.00. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than December 31st, 2017. The contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Engineer -- Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. (PDG), 935 Cleveland Avenue, Defiance, OH 43512. A set may be viewed and ordered online or obtained from Becker Impressions, 4646 Angola Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615, Telephone 419-385-5303, www.pdgplanroom.com for the cost of printing to be paid to the printing company at the time the drawings are picked up. Shipping and tax charges are the bidder’s responsibility and payable directly to Becker Impressions. Bidders must be on PDG’s Planroom Official Bidder’s list in order to place a bid. All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in this booklet. Bids must state the unit prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked -- Adams County Regional Water District - Locust Grove Waterline Replacement (OPWC) -- and addressed to the Adams Co. Regional Water District, 9203 SR 136, P.O. Box 427, West Union, OH 45693. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form). 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Adams Co. Regional Water District in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is 100% payment and performance bond. 3. If you are an out-of-state corporation wishing to submit a bid for this project, you must submit an Ohio Certificate of Good Standing and the name and address of your Ohio Statutory Agent with your bid documents. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. All contractors and subcontractors involved in the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Adams Co. Regional Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
